Nintendo Wii U consoles have a WiFi and Bluetooth module connected just under the case on the top of the console. Any pressure on top of the console could damage the module or the antenna connected to it.
Sometimes but rarely, they can just fail for electrical faults.
The very first thing we do with all devices is test them to replicate the fault the customer is having to make sure the device needs the repair selected. If there is anything different we will always call you to confirm.
We will them proceed to open the Wii U to gain access to the relevant parts. We then conduct a visual inspection. Damages can normally be easily seen like tears in the antenna or dents in the Bluetooth/WiFi module. We then replace the parts required and test the console again. Once the repair person is happy the fault is cured, they will reassemble the Wii U and pass it down to the test bench.
The console will be tested for anything from 2-8 hours and once passed will be packed ready for dispatch back to you.
