The internal Power Supply Units or PSU has various components that can become faulty and too sensitive so they cut off during normal use. We have had Xbox One X consoles sent in after a power surge that has caused damage to the PSU too causing the Xbox to have power issues.
As with all repairs we first test the Xbox One X to confirm the fault. Once we establish that it is the PSU at fault we will dismantle the XB1 X and swap the PSU. We then test the console before reassembling it. The console is then taken to our saturation test bench where all consoles are tested for a minimum of 4 hours prior to dispatch.
