Normally this fault is purely down to wear and tear. The diaphragm of the loudspeakers can become worn over time and stop producing an accurate sound.
Dirt and dust can get inside and cause speaker problems.
We have had a few iPhone 7 or 7 Plus in where a touch of liquid has got inside the speaker through the vents and damaged it. As long as too much water hasn't got in and damaged other areas, the speaker can be replaced and should work again.
How do we repair the iPhone 7 or 7 Plus speaker?
The first thing we do before any repair is test the iPhone 7 or 7 Plus to check the fault. We will then proceed to open the iPhone 6 by removing the screen to gain access to the internals. We then proceed to replace the speaker assembly.
We will reassemble the iPhone 7 or 7 Plus and test it out before sending it down to the main testing area. Here all functions are tested before packaging the iPhone 7 or 7 Plus ready for dispatch.
