What causes the Nintendo Switch OLED Screen Fault?

The most common problem that we see is accidental damage. A drop or pressure applied to the Nintendo Switch OLED can cause the internal OLED screen to crack. Sometimes an impact that doesn't damage the outside of the Nintendo Switch can still cause the OLED to display strange colours or just a blank picture. 

Sometimes people who have tried a home repair and not used anti-static precautions can cause damage to the back light area on the motherboard. This would require a more specialised repair. We would let you know if this was needed. 

How do we repair the Nintendo Switch OLED Screen?

The first thing we do before any repair is test the Nintendo Switch OLED to confirm the fault. We will first test the screen cable to make sure that is seated correctly as sometimes it can become loose and cause the screen to behave strangely. We then proceed to swap the LCD. We will always use like for like quality screens so the picture resolution is still the same. 

We then reassemble the Nintendo Switch OLED and test all functions before sending it to out test bench where all devices are tested prior to dispatch.
